InjuryFantasy impact

Kansas City's first baseman exits the lineup mid-season with an injury to his throwing wrist.

The Kansas City Royals placed first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino on the 10-day injured list with a sore right wrist. Pasquantino, 28, is in his fifth season with the club and has appeared in 30 games so far in 2026, batting .176 with 4 home runs and 16 RBIs.

The IL move removes one of Kansas City's established position players from the lineup at the midseason stretch. The Royals will need a fill-in at first base while Pasquantino recovers.
