Injury

The Bears safety suffered a hyperextended knee, bone bruise, and small fracture during Monday's training camp practice.

Bears safety Coby Bryant will miss 8-10 weeks after suffering a hyperextended knee, bone bruise, and small fracture during Monday's training camp practice. Bryant, 27, recorded 39 solo tackles, 66 total tackles, 4 interceptions, and 7 pass deflections across 15 games last season.

The injury removes the team's primary safety from the field during the preseason and early regular season, forcing Chicago to rely on backups during the critical ramp-up to Week 1.
