Seattle moves on from the outfielder three days after calling him up to replace Luke Raley.

The Mariners designated outfielder Stuart Fairchild for assignment, three days after adding him to the roster when Luke Raley (right fielder, 31) was placed on the injured list. Fairchild, 30, had joined the club on August 1st as a temporary depth piece.

Seattle also reinstated infielder/outfielder Brendan Donovan from the 10-day injured list as part of the roster shuffle. Raley, in his sixth season with Seattle, is 30 GP into the 2026 campaign with a .244 average and 5 home runs.
