The Cowboys lose their tight end depth to a left knee injury suffered in Monday practice.

Cowboys tight end Princeton Fant tore his ACL in Monday's practice and will miss the season, the team announced. Fant, 27, was carted off the field during the session. The injury leaves Dallas without the veteran tight end as camp and preseason ramp up.

Fant had appeared in just one game last season before landing on injured reserve. His absence opens the tight end rotation for other candidates on the roster during the remainder of camp and the preseason.
