Injury

The Cardinals running back is nursing a sore knee during training camp.

Trey Benson is dealing with discomfort in his left knee, Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said Monday, per ESPN.com. The third-year running back is in his first season with Arizona after spending 2025 splitting carries and averaging 5.5 yards per rush across four games.

Benson's status during camp remains unclear. Training camp injuries at non-critical positions are often managed day-to-day, but the Cardinals' depth at running back will determine whether his availability becomes a concern for the preseason opener.
