Seattle's lead back had surgery Feb. 20 and will miss significant time.

Zach Charbonnet underwent surgery Feb. 20 to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, per an update from Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald. Charbonnet, 25, rushed for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns on 184 carries in 16 games last season and was Seattle's primary back heading into the offseason.

No return timeline was provided. ACL repairs typically sideline NFL running backs for 6–9 months, which would put Charbonnet's availability in question for the start of the regular season in September.
