InjuryFantasy impact

The veteran tight end returns to full activity eight months after a torn ACL.

Zach Ertz has been cleared for all football activities, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, eight months after suffering a torn ACL in December. The free agent tight end, entering his 14th season, was productive for the Commanders before the injury ended his 2025 campaign.

Ertz remains unsigned heading into training camp season. His availability in full practice and games will shape whether a team signs him as a veteran depth piece or starter option at tight end.
