The Kansas City rookie was sidelined briefly during training camp but is back on the field.
Chiefs rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen returned to practice Friday after missing time with a shin injury suffered last weekend. Allen had made an early impression during the opening stretch of training camp before the injury cut his availability short.
The setback cost Allen at least several days of reps during the competitive phase of camp. His return adds depth to Kansas City's receiver room as the team sorts its depth chart ahead of preseason games.
