Deion Sanders is the only athlete in modern history to play in both a Super Bowl AND a World Series. He spent 14 NFL seasons across four franchises (Falcons, 49ers, Cowboys, Redskins, Ravens) winning two Super Bowls (XXIX with San Francisco in January 1995, XXX with Dallas in January 1996) and made 8 Pro Bowls. Concurrently he played 7 MLB seasons (Yankees, Braves, Reds, Giants), appearing in the 1992 World Series with the Braves. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame in the same year (2011) — the first player ever to achieve that. Now serves as head football coach at the University of Colorado after a successful 3-year tenure at Jackson State.

1989-1993Atlanta Falcons (NFL)Five seasons in Atlanta after going 5th overall in 1989. Made 3 Pro Bowls and led the league in interceptions (8) in 1993.
1989-1995MLB (Yankees, Braves, Reds, Giants)Seven part-time MLB seasons concurrent with NFL career. Played in the 1992 World Series with Atlanta — the only player ever to appear in both a Super Bowl AND a World Series.
1994San Francisco 49ers (NFL)One season as a 1-year free-agent signing. Won Super Bowl XXIX. Defensive Player of the Year, 6 INTs, 3 of which returned for touchdowns.
1995-1999Dallas Cowboys (NFL)Five seasons after signing the largest defensive contract in NFL history at the time. Won Super Bowl XXX (January 1996), 4 Pro Bowls, and was the centerpiece of the late-1990s Cowboys.
2000-2004Washington Redskins / Baltimore RavensFive later-career seasons. Retired the first time in 2000, came back with the Ravens in 2004 at age 37.
