Buffalo's loss to Montreal knocks out two former Vancouver players from the 2026 Stanley Cup run.

Tanner Pearson and Luke Schenn are out of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs after Buffalo's elimination by Montreal. Pearson, 33, appeared in 4 games for the Sabres this season; Schenn, 36, played 4 games on the blue line.

Three ex-Canucks remain in the postseason: Jalen Chatfield with Carolina, and Nic Dowd and Ben Hutton with Vegas. Chatfield, 29, posted a 15+ +/- in the regular season; Dowd and Hutton, both veterans, each logged 55 games for the Golden Knights.
