InjuryFantasy impact

The Magic forward's 2025-26 season was cut short by a recurring injury that kept him sidelined nearly a third of the year.

Franz Wagner missed 48 games this season due to a recurring left high ankle sprain, per an interview with HoopsHype. The Magic forward appeared in 34 games, averaging 20.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists across 30 minutes per game when healthy.

Wagner told HoopsHype the injury proved difficult to overcome and represented the most frustrating stretch of his four-year NBA career. The absence left Orlando without one of its core offensive pieces during the regular season, with playoff availability now a concrete concern heading into the postseason.
