The Yankees center fielder will miss significant time at midseason.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Trent Grisham is expected to miss "a few weeks" with a hamstring injury, per the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media. Grisham, 29, is in his eighth season and has appeared in 31 games this year with a .155 batting average (15-for-97) and four home runs.

The absence removes New York's primary center fielder from the lineup as the team approaches the trade deadline. Grisham's season has been marked by a low batting average; the injury extends what has already been a difficult year at the plate.
