The Arizona Diamondbacks placed Lourdes Gurriel Jr. on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a strained right adductor — his third IL stint of the season, per Arizona Sports, after he felt discomfort on a swing in the final game before the All-Star break. Gurriel is hitting .207 with two home runs and 21 RBIs in 47 games. Adrian Del Castillo was recalled from Triple-A Reno to take his roster spot. The move also clouds the reported Phillies trade interest in the pending free agent ahead of the August 3 deadline. For fantasy purposes, Gurriel is droppable outside the deepest leagues, and Del Castillo is a speculative add only in two-catcher formats.
