Phil Jackson coached the Chicago Bulls (1989-98) and Los Angeles Lakers (1999-2004, 2005-2011) over 20 NBA seasons, winning 11 NBA championships as head coach — the all-time record by 5 over Red Auerbach's 9. Six titles with the Bulls during Michael Jordan's prime; three more with the Shaq + Kobe Lakers in 2000-2002; two more with Kobe's later Lakers in 2009-2010. He earned 1,155 regular-season wins, 229 playoff wins, and a career winning percentage of .704 — the highest of any modern NBA head coach. Inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2007.
